Hello Folks, Welcome to our Fitz-Patrick Family website. Please take time to catch up on my historical novel, The Fitz-Patrick Mythology. It is now nearly 4 years in the making. You may find it at, www.fitz-patrickmythology.com. My manuscript is protected by copyright, as is our family crest, I do hope all will respect that aspect of my work. I appreciate the fact, that in our genealogy research, we all, at times, borrow from each other. I wish to share as others have shared with me. I do this not for profit, but for the enhancement of our mutual research. Unfortunately, the manuscript will not be long on the website in its current complete presentation. Continued plagiarizing of my work has given me no choice but to reduce the work, on the website, to its bare-bones outline. This will still give researchers a look at my ancestral findings from Adam on down, but will eliminate the creative treatise that has accompanied it to date. Those members of my extended family, who would like their own copy of the works, please feel free to contact me at fitz-patrick@fitz-patrick.net and I'll send you out a softbound copy of the work as it stands to day. I will keep your mailing address on file and when the next major change is made, I will send you an updated copy. I've completed my "matriarchal" and "patriarchal" DNA studies and have added those results to my Genealogy.com site. The "matriarchal" study has proven to me that our roots came out of Africa, through Egypt, into Scythia, around the Mediterranean to Spain. And, I was excited to find that our ancestors may have indeed been a wandering subset of the Tribe of Judah. More research on our cousins in Canada leads me to believe that their line extends down as one of the children of Joseph and Mary Persee Fitz-Patrick and would be a brother to our ancestor Frederick Fitz-Patrick who married the Lady Taylour. Although not a brother to our dear Patsy and Oliver, they would have been cousins and would have shared all the amenities that our direct descendants enjoyed at the court of Queen Victoria. Thank you for visiting. Write if you get the chance… fitz-patrick@fitz-patrick.net John Hylas |
